We Receive a Visit from Academic Peers from the Ministry of Education

As part of the quality assurance process for the renewal of the qualified registration for the Specialization in Project Management and Evaluation program, both online and in-person, with locations in the cities of Medellín and Popayán, the María Cano University Foundation is hosting a visit on May 8 and 9 from academic peers assigned by the Ministry of National Education: Dr. María Luisa Cely Vargas and Dr. Astrid León Camargo. These peers will be designated to lead the workshops, which will focus on topics such as curricular aspects, academic activities, the training process, financial viability, research, faculty, educational media, relations with the external sector, students, and alumni, among other key aspects of the visit.
María Luisa Cely Vargas holds a PhD in Local Development and Territorial Planning from the University of Huelva, Spain, with cum laude honors. She holds a Master’s degree in Territorial and Environmental Strategies at the Local Level from the same institution, as well as a Master’s degree in Local Development: Territorial and Environmental Strategies from the International University of Andalusia. She holds a postgraduate degree in Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Toledo, Spain. She holds a Specialization in Project Formulation and Evaluation, and a Specialization in Senior Management, both from the Corporación Universitaria del Meta, Villavicencio. She is a Business Administrator from the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia.
Astrid León Camargo holds a PhD in Design, Manufacturing, and Industrial Project Management from the Polytechnic University of Valencia; a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Santo Tomás; and a Master’s degree in Global and Regional Economic Integration from the International University of Andalusia. She also holds a degree in Reading and Writing Didactics with an emphasis on Literature from the University of San Buenaventura, and a degree in Finance, Project Preparation, and Evaluation from the University of Antioquia. She is an economist and also a graduate of the University of Antioquia.
