We welcome the University Network of Extension and Social Projection

The María Cano University Foundation opened and welcomed the members of the University Extension and Social Projection Network – RUEP – for the development of the sixth plenary session, which was led by the president Claudia Marifely Taborda Gil, Head of Continuing Education of the University EIA; advances in instruments that contribute to the generation of new strategies and programs, from higher education, thus responding to the needs of the department of Antioquia, in the search for professional preparation and the well-being of the community.
In this meeting, the María Cano University Foundation hosted the monthly meeting of the Antioquia node and received Acreditta, the Digital Badges platform, certifier of recognition for learning in a state-of-the-art format with blockchain technology for verification of achievements. Currently, Badges are determined as credentials in a graphic representation of abilities or skills that are acquired after participating in a training process. That is to say, it is a way of accrediting an objective obtained in a complementary way to the certification by means of a conventional paper.
The University Network of Extension and Social Projection – RUEP – is a group freely integrated by Higher Education Institutions of Antioquia and other entities, to articulate actions, knowledge and resources, with the purpose of consolidating alternatives that allow supporting the mission of extension and projection society in the territories.
To close the activity for the month of August, the Vice Chancellor for Extension and Social Projection of María Cano, Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña, thanked the higher education institutions for their participation, while highlighting the progress made that contributes to the construction of a society that stimulates education through interactions and innovative processes.
