Welfare of the university community in Cali
- 7 octubre, 2022

At the Cali headquarters of the María Cano University Foundation, a healthy and relaxing day was lived for the members of the community. The students of the Physiotherapy program were applying the skills of massage therapy, which is a set of manual techniques that are used with the objective of rehabilitating bodily injuries; The various applications of the therapies include work with the patient that is related to clinical, aesthetic and emotional health. This work was led by the teacher Jefferson Andrés Oviedo.
In teamwork, from the academic side with the support of institutional welfare, the students applied massage therapy techniques, in the morpho massage laboratory, to all the teachers of the María Cano University Foundation who accessed the therapies in shifts of 35 minutes, where the institutional commitment to the health care of the members of the university community was evidenced.
Internships of this type, with students from different academic programs, stimulate and promote the professional skills of students in the institution at the different María Cano campuses, contributing to the well-being of teachers, fellow students and of the collaborators of the Institution, while allowing the knowledge acquired to be put at the service of the community.
