The Physiotherapy program of the María Cano University Foundation at the Popayán campus, held the I Symposium of the Southwest of Colombia for community mothers and educational agents with the aim of providing training to this population that guides their actions in early childhood that are recognized and valued institutionally as a fundamental part of society, to guarantee the future and respect for society. The activity had the participation of 356 connected users and an approximate coverage of 500 attendees, in more than 10 municipalities in the departments of Cauca, Huila, Nariño and Caquetá; an important region of Colombia where the Institution is increasingly committed to community well-being and the development of activities that improve the quality of life.
The event, organized by practice advisors and students from Community Practice I, was carried out with the participation of speakers in the areas of pediatric medicine, occupational therapy, nutrition and dietetics, and child psychology.
