The María Cano University Foundation, Popayán campus, had the honor of receiving a visit from Vice Rector Paola Rueda López, who was accompanied by the campus director, Rosa Ángela Macías. During her visit, important meetings and activities were held to strengthen the institutional commitment to the region’s social and community development. A meeting was held with directors of Cotaindoc, an indigenous community in southeastern Cauca, with whom the institution has been working hand in hand on various training and social outreach processes.
The delegation subsequently visited the Cauca Governor’s Office, where they held a meeting with the Department’s Social Manager. As part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Popayán campus, representatives from María Cano University participated in an interview on Radio Uno Popayán, where they shared with the community the progress, achievements, and projects that strengthen the university’s presence in southwestern Colombia.
The scholarship presentation ceremony was also held, attended by the Mayor of Popayán, the municipality’s First Lady, media representatives, and members of the university community. The event took place in an atmosphere of joy and institutional pride, highlighting María Cano University’s commitment to social transformation through education.
