As a pertinent scenario for the development of academic actions of social projection that generate impact in the community, the assurance programs in health, food and nutritional security were presented; environmental health and basic sanitation; mental health and citizen coexistence; as well as health and safety at work in the municipality of Girardota, in a meeting held in this town, in the north of the Aburrá Valley and with great impact on the activities of all companies and organizations that are present in the Metropolitan Area.

The municipal secretary of Health, Citizen Participation and Social Protection, Felipe Ochoa Saldarriaga, received the dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Amilbia Palacios Cordoba, the Director of Practices, Sonia Magdalena Welsh Paz, and the Vice-rector of Extension and Social Projection, Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña, with whom the work carried out from the different academic programs to benefit the entire community was evaluated.

In this meeting, the first actions to be carried out in coordination between the municipality of Girardota and the María Cano University Foundation were defined, as well as the establishment of the framework agreement and to expand the possibilities of participation, through actions that allow collaborative work with the Accompaniment of different actors of the university community, always thinking of putting the knowledge acquired at the service of the community, in a great work of social projection.
