In the capital of Cauca, the second days of reflection of the Young Researchers and Innovators project in the department of Cauca were held at the Casa de la Moneda Convention Center in the city of Popayán, in which two graduates participated as speakers. and young researchers and innovators with great acceptance and recognition by moderators and attendees. Daniela Claros Vargas, with her tutor María Fernanda Ortiz Cabrera, presented the presentation «Effects of physical activity and exercise on the physical and cognitive functioning of older adults with and without a post-covid-19 syndrome diagnosis in the city of Popayán» and Fernando José Gómez Rodríguez, with his tutor Elizabeth Roldán González, presented the presentation «Use and effects of non-immersive virtual reality for the rehabilitation of adults with upper limb spasticity: novelty or evidence?»
The fundamental purpose of this event is to foster a reflective dialogue around strategies that promote scientific vocations, as well as address issues related to research, innovation, social appropriation of knowledge and the transfer of results generated by young researchers. as a contribution to solving problems in the territories in which the Institution has influence.
The event was attended by 138 students from the SIBITEC, SIF 1 and 2 research hotbeds of the Physiotherapy program, the 4 graduates applying for the III call for young researchers and innovators for the 2024 period, with proposals that were accepted and are under evaluation: Gina Valentina Hoyos Palechor, Ary Santiago Fernández Tulande, Anggie Valentina Sarria Gómez and Ángela María Pillimue Chacón; as well as the research monitor María Luisa Hurtado Otero and professor Sandra Milena Castro Plazas.
