The María Cano University Foundation, through the Advanced Training Center, the Institutional Welfare Office and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit, participated in the Solutions Fair of the Specialized Nodes of the Ruta N Corporation and the actors of the quintuple helix: universities, companies, citizens, State and international cooperation. The entity’s flagship program that prioritizes the main needs of the community and seeks to provide solutions to them through projects led by entrepreneurs, researchers and innovators that use science, technology and innovation.

The projects chosen as winners had to include strategies to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Medellín and be mediated by science, technology and innovation. Those chosen provided excellent strategies from Agribusiness, safety, health, solid waste, among others. others. The fair was attended by innovators, scientists and citizens in general, who learned about the solutions to the eight needs of the city, and also gave the opportunity to present the projects that are being managed to meet the needs of the sector.

During the event there were educational talks, workshops, presentation of models and academic exhibition in health, María Cano presented the offer of five undergraduate and 10 postgraduate degrees for the area of ​​health in Medellín, the project on Genu Recurvatum of Physiotherapy; Likewise, he gave the talk on «Meanings of life and suicidal behavior» in commemoration of World Mental Health Day, and held the Financity workshop aimed at personal and business finances; spaces that had a great participation.

The Institution ratifies its purpose of articulating itself with city events in correspondence with the policy of extension and social projection that links us to the needs and opportunities to intervene our various interest groups.
