Technology entrepreneurship at María Cano
- 22 julio, 2025

We continue to drive ideas with social impact from Fundación Universitaria María Cano in Medellín through the VitalCare project! This innovative proposal aims to transform healthcare access for the baby-boomer generation and was successfully presented at the SENA Technopark Ideas Committee as part of the support process for developing their mobile app prototype.
This initiative, led by students Camilo Arango from the Software Engineering program and Sebastián Bedoya from the Business Administration program, originated in the first edition of the María Cano 2024 Creative Innovative Challenges and has been strengthened thanks to their commitment, entrepreneurial vision, and active participation in the support pathway provided by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit.
Through accessible technologies such as a monitoring app, alarms, and wearable devices, VitalCare seeks to empower older adults, especially in vulnerable communities, promoting dignified, healthy, and active aging.
Thanks to synergies generated with key players in the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, the institution continues to create opportunities to leverage the talent and ideas of its academic community.
