Final Classification of Research Groups and Researchers of María Cano

The María Cano University Foundation celebrates the final results of Call No. 957 issued by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MinCiencias), corresponding to the most recent evaluation for the classification of research, technological development, or innovation groups, as well as for the recognition of researchers within the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation (SNCTI 2021).
According to the official publication of the results, released on December 5, 2025, a sustained process of stability, growth, and consolidation of the institution’s research groups and researchers is evident. This represents a significant contribution to academic strengthening and to the Multicampus Institutional High-Quality Accreditation process.
In this context, the María Cano University Foundation, through its research groups and researchers affiliated with the campuses in Medellín, Cali, Neiva, and Popayán, achieved the following results, reflecting the institution’s commitment to research, knowledge generation, and the strengthening of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The recognition of researchers shows sustained growth in the three most recent calls, reflecting the strengthening of research capacities, collaborative work, and the institution’s commitment to knowledge generation.

These results reaffirm the growth in recognition of the work carried out by the research groups and researchers of the María Cano University Foundation at the national level, reflecting a sustained commitment to academic quality and to achieving the goals set out in the 2017–2026 Institutional Development Plan “Building the Future”, in its final year of consolidation.
Likewise, the Institution reaffirms its commitment to research as a fundamental pillar for knowledge generation, innovation, and social transformation, making a significant contribution to community service and to the strengthening of the Multicampus Institutional High-Quality Accreditation process.
