Women Who Inspire: Leadership, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship
- 18 marzo, 2026
As part of the International Women’s Month celebration, Fundación Universitaria María Cano held a meaningful event highlighting the role of women as agents of change, leadership, and social transformation through innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event brought together two key spaces that engaged the academic community. The talk “Women Don’t Just Make History, They Transform It” gathered students and faculty around real stories of resilience, discipline, and reinvention, featuring Melissa Bedoya (@Itsmeli) and Juliana Jaramillo (@julifreestyle), who shared their life experiences and inspired attendees to believe in their ideas and take the leap into entrepreneurship.
In addition, the Women Entrepreneurs Fair 2026 became a platform to showcase female talent, where women from the university community presented their projects, products, and services, promoting conscious consumption and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

These initiatives not only recognized the contributions of women across different fields but also fostered networks of support, exchange of experiences, and opportunities for growth, reinforcing the value of collaboration in building more equitable and inclusive environments.
Through initiatives like this, Fundación Universitaria María Cano, through its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit and the Psychology Program, reaffirms its commitment to gender equity, the strengthening of female leadership, and the creation of opportunities that drive innovation and social transformation.
