- 13 abril, 2026
Within the framework of the Second Cauca Dairy Fair, held on April 11 and 12 in the city of Popayán, Fundación Universitaria María Cano actively participated through its Nutrition and Dietetics program, contributing from academia to the strengthening of initiatives that promote regional development and food security.
This event serves as a platform to highlight the work of local producers, showcasing the value of local products, as well as the cultural and productive richness of the Cauca region, while encouraging responsible consumption and the strengthening of productive units.
During the fair, which brought together producers, entrepreneurs, and the community, activities such as product exhibitions, tastings, training sessions, and live culinary experiences were carried out, all aimed at emphasizing the quality of dairy products and their contribution to the regional economy.

In this context, María Cano’s Nutrition and Dietetics program actively engaged in the event, contributing to the promotion of healthy lifestyles, the strengthening of academic training processes, and the application of knowledge in real-world contexts, in alignment with the social and productive dynamics of the region.
Likewise, this type of initiative fosters the integration of traditional knowledge and innovation, recognizing the relationship between farm and table as a key element in ensuring food security and community well-being.
Through its participation, Fundación Universitaria María Cano reaffirms its commitment to relevant, socially oriented education, contributing to sustainable regional development and the strengthening of initiatives that enhance local economies and quality of life.
