Fundación Universitaria María Cano is undergoing an audit under the NTC 5555:2011 and NTC 5580:2011 standards at its Medellín and Cali campuses, as part of an institutional effort to strengthen its Quality Management System.

The on-site audit is being conducted on Tuesday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 15, with the participation of auditors Gloria Díaz Valencia in Medellín and Susana Badiel Bedoya in Cali, to whom the institution extends a warm welcome.

This process represents a highly significant institutional exercise, as it will allow for the assessment of compliance with established quality standards, as well as the articulation and traceability of academic and administrative processes.

In this context, María Cano reaffirms its commitment to active participation, timely support, and full cooperation throughout the audit, ensuring the availability of information, evidence, and interviews required during the visit.

The audit will address strategic areas such as institutional governance, self-assessment, monitoring and control, program evaluation, infrastructure and procurement, educational resources, human talent management, performance evaluation, student well-being, teaching, and alumni relations.

The NTC 5555:2011 standard establishes the requirements for a Quality Management System specifically designed for institutions offering education for work and human development in Colombia, aiming to improve educational quality, ensure user satisfaction, and comply with legal and productive sector requirements.

Meanwhile, the NTC 5580:2011 standard defines quality requirements for language training programs, promoting the development of communicative competencies in alignment with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and national regulations.

Through this process, Fundación Universitaria María Cano reaffirms its commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and the service it provides to the community, strengthening institutional processes oriented toward excellence.
