Since 1988, the Colombian Book Chamber and Corferias have organized the Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBo), one of the most important cultural and editorial gatherings in the Spanish-speaking world, serving as a key platform for knowledge exchange, academic dialogue, and the dissemination of intellectual production.

Within this context, Fundación Universitaria María Cano highlights the participation of faculty members from its Physiotherapy Program at the Medellín and Neiva campuses, who will take part as authors of the book Physiotherapy in Cancer and Palliative Care from a Health and Well-being Perspective, a publication that makes a significant academic and scientific contribution to the health field.

This work represents an important step in the consolidation of specialized knowledge, integrating clinical, research-based, and human-centered approaches to the care of patients with oncological conditions and those requiring palliative care. The book presents tools and interdisciplinary strategies aimed at improving functionality, comfort, and quality of life, in line with current trends in comprehensive healthcare.

The participation of María Cano faculty at the Bogotá International Book Fair not only enhances the visibility of the institution’s research efforts, but also strengthens its positioning in academic dissemination spaces, where scholarly publishing plays a key role in knowledge transfer and social transformation.
