Fundación Universitaria María Cano continues to advance the goals established in its 2017–2026 Development Plan “Building the Future” by strengthening its academic quality processes and renewing the official quality registrations of its graduate programs.

In this context, the institution welcomed academic peer reviewers appointed by the Ministry of National Education to verify quality conditions for the Specialization programs in Human Talent Management and Tax Management, both offered in the city of Medellín.

For the Human Talent Management Specialization, María Cano received Germán Darío Hémbuz Falla, a business administrator, specialist in senior management, master’s graduate in human talent management, and doctor in social sciences, with extensive experience in higher education, organizational leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship processes. The evaluation team also included Óscar Danilo Mesa Patiño, a psychologist with graduate studies in health administration and integrated management systems, specialized in occupational health and safety and human talent management, with experience in organizational consulting, quality assurance, and academic evaluation.

For the Tax Management Specialization, the visit was led by Patricia Rodríguez, a business administrator and data scientist with expertise in finance and business management, experienced in organizational consulting, project formulation, and quality registration processes. She was accompanied by Reinaldo Castrillón Mosquera, a public accountant with doctoral degrees in education and extensive experience in taxation, accounting, auditing, and educational management.

Throughout the evaluation process, meetings were held with university administrators, faculty members, students, alumni, and administrative teams, alongside reviews of academic, curricular, research, and institutional well-being components, in accordance with the guidelines established for quality registration renewal.

This process reaffirms Fundación Universitaria María Cano’s commitment to academic excellence, the continuous strengthening of its programs, and the consolidation of a relevant, high-quality educational offering that responds to the needs of society and the country.
