María Cano Strengthens Research Through the Delfín Program
- 10 junio, 2026
Fundación Universitaria María Cano welcomed 42 students from higher education institutions in Mexico, Peru, and Colombia, who will carry out academic and research internships at the Medellín, Cali, and Popayán campuses as part of the Interinstitutional Program for the Strengthening of Research and Graduate Studies of the Pacific – Delfín Program.
Participation in this international initiative represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen academic cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the development of research networks among higher education institutions across Latin America. Over the coming weeks, visiting students will join projects led by researchers at Fundación Universitaria María Cano, contributing to scientific and academic processes aimed at generating new knowledge.

The participants will engage in activities within the Faculties of Health Sciences and Business Sciences, where they will have the opportunity to interact with faculty members, researchers, and students, explore the Institution’s academic and research environments, and strengthen their research skills through interdisciplinary and intercultural learning experiences.
Academic mobility is one of the most significant strategies for the internationalization of higher education, as it promotes intercultural dialogue, the exchange of knowledge, and the development of global perspectives on the social, scientific, and technological challenges facing the region. In this context, the arrival of Delfín Program students enriches institutional academic life and strengthens collaborative processes that contribute to the development of an increasingly connected and cooperative scientific community.

For Fundación Universitaria María Cano, research is a fundamental driver of social transformation and academic development. Therefore, the Institution reaffirms its commitment to educating researchers capable of generating innovative solutions to territorial and societal needs while fostering spaces where knowledge, creativity, and collaborative work converge.
This experience will also allow visiting students to broaden their academic and professional perspectives, establish new collaborative relationships, share experiences with the university community, and gain insight into different social and cultural realities that will enrich their educational journey.
Fundación Universitaria María Cano extends its gratitude to the Delfín Program for continuing to promote academic and scientific integration across Latin America, encouraging student mobility and contributing to the education of professionals committed to sustainable development and the transformation of their communities.
With this new academic mobility cohort, the Institution continues to strengthen its commitment to internationalization, research, and the creation of opportunities that foster knowledge exchange and collaborative learning.
