- 18 junio, 2026
The academic community celebrates a new advancement in knowledge production with the publication of the scientific article titled “Scenarios for Entrepreneurship: The Experience of Two Higher Education Institutions in Medellín.” This work, led by professors Jhon F. Santos, Ana María Pérez Naranjo, and Marleny Arcila Aristizábal (FUMC), as well as professor Natali Molina Paneso (IU Digital), has been indexed in Volume 13 of the journal GEON (Management, Organizations and Business). The research offers a deep and contextualized analysis of how entrepreneurial environments are shaped and strengthened within the local university context, becoming a reference for understanding innovation dynamics in the region.
The core of this achievement lies in its interdisciplinary and inter-institutional nature, bringing together the efforts and expertise of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Business Sciences of the María Cano University Foundation, in a valuable strategic alliance with the Digital University Institution of Antioquia. By integrating perspectives from the health and business sectors, the research team was able to capture a comprehensive and diverse view of the entrepreneurial phenomenon, demonstrating that open collaboration between different institutions and disciplines is the most effective path to responding holistically to the needs of the territory.
This valuable contribution is directly aligned with the institution’s mission. In the fields of research and teaching, the study enriches institutional scientific production and introduces updated data on local realities that will directly enhance classroom learning. Furthermore, its findings positively impact extension and social outreach areas by transferring practical tools and lessons learned to Medellín’s business and community ecosystem. With initiatives of this level, the institution reaffirms its vocation to transform the social and economic environment through applied knowledge.
