At the Cali campus we expand our academic offer

The María Cano University Foundation feels happy and committed to the community of Valle del Cauca, a city that respects, values and appreciates for being a fundamental part of the institutional and outstanding history for the development and growth of Colombia. Now it presents the new Speech Therapy program in the city of Cali, which adds to the national coverage with this academic program that is present in Medellín, Neiva and Popayán.
Speech Therapy is a health profession that addresses human communication, its disorders and variations; focused on the areas of hearing, language, speech, voice and oral-pharyngeal function, which can be affected by biological, psychological or social causes that affect the communicative well-being of people and their quality of life. In this sense, the speech therapist is constituted as the ideal professional for its approach due to the scientific and deep knowledge of human communication as a sphere of personal and social development. Its actions are aimed at identifying the communication needs of the population, evaluation, diagnosis and intervention of communication disorders and alterations in the educational, social welfare, health and business sectors; is a manager of projects and research that contribute to the development of the individual, the communities and the profession.
The program lasts 9 semesters and has a qualified registration from the Ministry of National Education No. 006958 of April 21, 2021 and SNIES 110092, in the face-to-face modality.
