Alliance between IPS María Cano and DISFIBE aims to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities
- 29 enero, 2025

The IPS of Fundación Universitaria María Cano, committed to social outreach and humanized care, received a visit from the Sports and Social Corporation for Physical Disability of the Municipality of Bello, DISFIBE. Representing DISFIBE were Edgar Darío Jaramillo Henao, legal representative; Juan Pablo Vargas Gaviria, vice president; and German José Sanín. The purpose of this meeting was to review points of agreement to provide care for this population and their families in various therapeutic processes that will impact the quality of life of those who need it.
This corporation currently groups around 42 people with disabilities who, over time, have not received proper support or solutions from the healthcare system in their respective rehabilitation processes. In search of solutions, they turn to IPS María Cano, where they find a key ally for the processes of care, rehabilitation, and physical reconditioning, supported by professionals who will provide the necessary assistance to this population, positively impacting their quality of life through physical therapy interventions.
These types of visits and potential partnerships aim to establish alliances that could lead to the signing of an agreement benefiting both parties in providing various physical and mental health services, if necessary, within the framework of humanized and comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s specific case. This aligns with the mission of linking the importance of social outreach to the different communities of the city and the department of Antioquia.
