Alliances for public health in Cauca
- 17 febrero, 2025

The Public Health Specialization of the María Cano University Foundation, Popayán campus, has initiated strategic approaches with the National Health Superintendence, through its Regional Director for Cauca, Valle, and Nariño. The purpose of this initiative is to define action pathways that contribute to strengthening the health system in the Cauca department, through the design and implementation of innovative public health strategies. This effort seeks to consolidate strategic alliances that promote collective interventions aimed at the well-being of the population. These actions may cover different fronts, including the development of prevention and health promotion programs, the promotion of research projects, and the application of population and social sciences to address health issues affecting individuals and communities.
María Cano remains committed to social transformation and the improvement of living conditions for the people of Cauca. Therefore, the Public Health Specialization prioritizes a comprehensive approach that recognizes the particularities and identity of the territories, promoting interventions tailored to the specific needs of each community. Through these efforts, the institution reaffirms its role as a key player in generating knowledge and building a more equitable and efficient health system for the region. Collaboration with the National Health Superintendence will lay the foundation for developing strategies that positively impact citizens’ quality of life.
