Interinstitutional Collaboration Strengthens Community Well-Being in Cajibío
- 22 abril, 2026
As part of a collaborative initiative between Institución Educativa El Túnel in Cajibío and Fundación Universitaria María Cano, a Parent School session was conducted with the participation of the Physiotherapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Nutrition programs. During this session, key topics related to well-being, holistic development, and the promotion of healthy habits were addressed, benefiting both students and their families. The activity created a meaningful space for guidance and community engagement, aligned with the needs of the local context.

This initiative highlights the value of interinstitutional collaboration as a strategy to strengthen the connection between academia and communities, fostering socially relevant education and sustainable local impact. The experience also provided university students with opportunities to apply their knowledge in real-life settings, under faculty supervision, enhancing their professional skills and reinforcing their sense of social responsibility.

This type of engagement is part of María Cano’s social outreach mission, which seeks to connect academic training with community needs, contributing to improved quality of life and social development. Through initiatives like this, Fundación Universitaria María Cano reaffirms its commitment to education, health, and social transformation, positioning itself as an active contributor to community well-being and regional development.
