LEAMOS on the day of language, book and copyright
- 22 abril, 2022

One of the most important purposes of the LEAMOS Academic Reading and Writing Center is to foster links between the university community and academic reading and writing. Due to this, in coordination with the Library and Institutional Welfare area, we decided to commemorate the day of the book, language and copyright. Regarding the former, it began to be celebrated around the world more than 30 years ago as a tribute to Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, author of «El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quixote de la Mancha», an illustrious work of the Spanish language.
Thus, LEAMOS, Library and Institutional Welfare celebrate this date and invite the university community to join the following activities that we have for the university community:
- PODCAST contest: with the participation of directors, administrators and teachers, the LEAMOS team recorded audio sequences with tips, phrases and personifications of the most significant literary works in the world. These will be put to a vote on Friday, April 22 to choose the best podcast, which will be awarded.
- Story contest: taking advantage of this celebration, the María Cano University Foundation launches the 3rd version of the story contest, which will be open to the entire university community. The details of this event will be published through our social networks.
- Literary Route: It will be an open and dynamic space for members of the university community to participate in spelling bees, spelling dictations, and other activities with books and movies based on books.
- Literary barter: seeks to promote an exchange of books which must be deposited in a box located at the entrance of the university, these books must be in good condition, so that someone else can make use of them. In the same way, those who deposit can acquire a new one from those that are in the box the day we develop the activity.
It is important to note that LEAMOS is pleased to invite the entire university community to join in this celebration, according to the following schedule:
