María Cano Strengthens Its Research Leadership at RedCOLSI Huila 2026

Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Neiva campus, actively participated in the 22nd Departmental Research Seedbeds Meeting and the 3rd Meeting of Research Seedbed Coordinators – RedCOLSI Huila Node 2026, an important academic event aimed at strengthening research culture, encouraging the exchange of experiences, and showcasing the scientific and academic talent of higher education institutions in the region.
The Institution was represented by student researchers from the Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy programs, who presented research papers derived from their formative research processes, demonstrating the institutional commitment to knowledge generation, innovation, and the development of proposals focused on addressing the needs and challenges of the region.

Likewise, faculty researchers from the Neiva campus participated as academic evaluators of the projects presented during the event, contributing their expertise and knowledge to the strengthening of the research and academic processes promoted by the network.
Throughout the event, participants shared research, innovation, and technological development projects in different areas of knowledge. Conferences, academic workshops, and dialogue sessions among research seedbed coordinators were also held, allowing participants to exchange pedagogical strategies and meaningful experiences related to research training.

Participation in these academic spaces strengthens the academic and research projection of Fundación Universitaria María Cano, reinforcing its commitment to formative research, the social appropriation of knowledge, and the development of innovative solutions with regional and social impact.
Through initiatives like this, the Institution continues promoting a research culture that fosters critical thinking, knowledge generation, and the education of professionals committed to social transformation and scientific development.
