- 24 enero, 2025

Mariutsi Alexandra Osorio Sanabria, a professor in the Software Engineering program, participated as a speaker at ICITS’25 – 8th International Conference on Information Technology & Systems. This event was held at the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico City, from January 22 to 24, 2025.
The conference presented was titled “Preparing the Workforce for Industry 4.0.” This work is the result of the research project titled «Research Trends in Industry 4.0 and 5.0,» developed in collaboration with Dr. Astrid Jaime from the Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios – Uniminuto in Bogotá. It is worth mentioning that the work also involved the participation of Bryhan Manuel Valdes-Meza, an industrial engineering student from Uniminuto.
Participation in such events provides the institution with the opportunity to identify global trends and align with them, sharing this knowledge with students as they advance in their education. Through Professor Mariutsi’s presentation, the importance of Latin American higher education institutions becoming aware of the need to adapt to the changes brought by Industry 4.0 is highlighted, both for society and for training competent professionals in line with the demands of technology.
