Participation in the Regional Meeting of Academic Peers in Santiago de Cali

The María Cano University Foundation, Cali headquarters, participated in the Sixth Regional Meeting of Academic Peers, which is conceived as a space for interaction and support between the National Accreditation Council and the country’s academic and scientific community. The purpose was to share and discuss the most important aspects related to High Quality Accreditation. During these meetings, topics were discussed such as the evolution of the implementation of the standards that regulate the public policy of the Colombian Education System, the impact of the CESU Agreement 04 of 2022 and the systematization of good practices for knowledge management.
The main objective of this event was to inform the management of the institutions and the members of the academic and scientific community about the update of the High Quality Accreditation model, in accordance with the provisions of the CESU 02 Agreement of 2020, the CESU 04 Agreement. of 2022 and the respective guides and guidelines. In addition, guidance was provided to academic peers on the recently incorporated aspects, such as evaluation criteria and the new formats of technical documents and master tables.
Representing María Cano was Professor Carmen Lorena Murillo Panameño, who is a professional dedicated to higher education in different HEIs in the country, with more than 12 years of experience in academic and administrative processes. She has been an undergraduate and postgraduate research tutor, a speaker at academic, scientific and investigative meetings, and has extensive experience in curricular management; review and adjustment of course plans, course monitoring, teaching evaluation, writing master documents for renewal of qualified registrations and self-evaluation reports for accreditation purposes.
