Professional profile:

Graduates of the Specialization in Public Health will be able to:

• Analyze the health status of populations through health monitoring, public health surveillance, and the interpretation of epidemiological and demographic information.
• Formulate, implement, lead, and evaluate public health policies, programs, projects, and interventions at local, national, and international levels.
• Manage public health programs within organizations belonging to the Colombian General Social Security Health System, particularly territorial health authorities, Healthcare Provider Institutions (IPS), and Health Promotion Organizations (EPS).
• Coordinate and lead intersectoral actions for the management and implementation of Primary Health Care strategies.
• Participate in research processes focused on the analysis of social determinants of health and territorial health needs.

Professionals holding a university degree in health-related disciplines, including medicine, nursing, dentistry, bacteriology, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and other related fields, who meet the institution’s admission requirements and procedures.

Graduates of the Specialization in Public Health may work in public and private entities, healthcare organizations, academic institutions, and intersectoral settings, in roles such as:

• Public Health Program Coordinator; Director of Health Departments within departmental, district, or municipal health authorities; Manager or Advisor in Healthcare Provider Institutions (IPS) and Health Promotion Organizations (EPS); or Health Management Consultant.
• Public Health Analyst, Epidemiological Surveillance Professional, or Health Researcher.
• Health Promotion Project Manager, Community Participation Facilitator, or Health Educator.
• Intersectoral Partnership Coordinator, Public Policy Advisor specializing in social determinants of health, or Social Development Project Manager with a health impact.
• Member of healthcare audit teams, Health Inspector, or Advisor on public health regulations and quality assurance.
• University Lecturer, Trainer, or Public Health Researcher.
• Health Emergency Response Coordinator or Contingency Planning Specialist.

Admission Requirements

1. Complete the online application form.
2. Generate the payment receipt and pay the application fee of COP $224,760 through the available payment channels.
3. Upload the following documents individually to the platform in PDF format:
   a. Copy of the undergraduate degree certificate or diploma record.
   b. Clear, enlarged copy of the identification document.
   c. 3 × 4 cm photograph with a light blue background.
4. Attend the virtual interview.
5. Check the list of admitted applicants published by the Admissions Office on the institutional website.
