Strengthening Education and Identity
- 5 febrero, 2025

The Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Popayán campus, was the setting for a strategic dialogue between representatives of the institution and leaders of the Territorial Council of Indigenous Authorities of Eastern Cauca (COTAINDOC). The meeting was attended by leader Jorge Eliécer Sánchez, from the team of Senator Aida Quilcué, councilor Nelson Pechené from COTAINDOC, and the campus director Rosa Ángela Macías Rosero, along with her team.
The main objective of this space was to advance dialogue tables that strengthen relationships and coordinated work with indigenous communities, considering education as a key tool for building life projects and constructing society, within the framework of their own identity and governance.
The commitment to establish inter-institutional collaboration that allows the coordination of actions for the development of the communities of the Cauca department was reaffirmed.
The Fundación Universitaria María Cano continues to promote dialogue and cooperation with different sectors of society, in order to generate a positive impact in the territories through education and the strengthening of cooperation networks. #MásMaríaCano
