In efforts to strengthen the relationship between academia, research, and the productive sector, Fundación Universitaria María Cano’s Popayán campus conducted an important meeting with Engineer Javier Hoyos, Executive Director and Technological Manager of the TECNICAFÉ Technological, Scientific, and Innovation Park, along with his team.
During this meeting, various proposals for strategic alliances were explored to establish an effective interrelationship between educational processes and the innovation ecosystem of the coffee sector. The main objective of this initiative is to promote the development of applied research projects, knowledge transfer, and skill strengthening for the benefit of students, coffee growers, and sector collaborators.
Through this partnership, the aim is to generate spaces for training, knowledge exchange, and the development of technological solutions that enable the modernization and optimization of processes within the coffee value chain. With such alliances, Fundación Universitaria María Cano continues to reaffirm its commitment to quality education and its connection to the surrounding environment, driving strategies with social and economic impact in the region.
