Great week for internationalization at María Cano

With the aim of strengthening the culture of internationalization for the members of the María Cano University Foundation community, the International Relations Office received a visit from international delegations from Mexico and Peru. On the one hand, the visit of the Universidad de Oriente – UO, Mexico, by the Founding President, Dr. Enrique Agüera Ibáñez, was attended; the Rector of the UO Puebla, Dr. José Fernando López Olea; the Rector of the UO Veracruz, Dr. Carlos Alberto Agüera Castro and Dr. Juan Manuel Agüera Castro, Vice Rector of Evaluation and Quality Assurance CEO. The UO directives visited María Cano with the purpose of strengthening the ties of academic and scientific cooperation between both universities, where activities were carried out that linked various audiences of the institution; Meetings were held with the María Cano authorities and with the teachers. Also, the Founding President of the UO gave a keynote lecture called: «Leadership in post-pandemic times.»
During the visit, the guests from Mexico had the opportunity to tour the María Cano facilities, where they highlighted the positive impact generated by the technological infrastructure and the media used by the institution to get closer to the members of the community. university, highlighting that they are striking and friendly.
On the other hand, María Cano received a visit from Professor Oscar Alfredo Diaz Becerra, assigned to the Academic Department of Accounting Sciences of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, who visited the institution with the purpose of exploring joint actions between the universities in view of the possibility signing of a framework agreement for inter-institutional cooperation. The guest gave a lecture dedicated to students and professors of the Faculty of Business Sciences entitled: «Big Data and Data Analytics for business.»
In this way, the María Cano University Foundation continues to consolidate internationalization with the purpose of continuing to form a university community with a glocal vision that inserts itself assertively within the changing dynamics of a world that is increasingly interconnected.
