The researcher of the GRINTEC research group of the María Cano University Foundation, Mariutsi Alexandra Osorio Sanabria, within the framework of the project developed in cooperation with Professor Gina Maestre Góngora and the Master’s student in Technology Management with the Cooperative University of Colombia, Adriana Rangel published the article titled: “Exploring open government data and big data from a quality perspective” in the Colombian Computing Magazine.

This research result establishes, based on an exploratory bibliographic review, the key elements in the relationship between Big data and open government data, from a quality perspective, emphasizing the case of Colombia. Among the contributions of this work, the importance of guaranteeing the reliability of the origin of the data, facilitating its understanding and establishing standards and aspects that allow taking advantage of the potential embedded in the data, contributing significantly to the construction of knowledge, as well as how to promote the use of open data to respond to different problems or phenomena in society.

The Colombian Computing Magazine is a publication refereed by the Systems Engineering Program of the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga. Its periodicity is biannual and it publishes original and unpublished research articles in Computing. The articles can be conceptual, applied or state of the art and their main objective is to disseminate results derived from Research Projects, carried out by researchers, professors and undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students, on topics related to Computing.
