- 22 octubre, 2026
The María Cano University Foundation, through its Speech-Language Pathology program, visited Sandoná, Nariño, to conduct a neuroeducation workshop for teachers from local educational institutions. The initiative aimed to strengthen their teaching skills and provide practical tools to enrich teaching and learning processes.
During the workshop, participants explored how the brain works and how emotions and attention influence learning. They also reflected on the importance of implementing teaching strategies that respond to students’ needs and support their overall development.

The session highlighted neuroeducation as a valuable tool for understanding how people learn and promoting more meaningful educational experiences that address students’ individual needs and characteristics.
Through this initiative, María Cano reaffirms its commitment to community engagement and the development of educational communities by extending knowledge beyond the classroom and fostering connections between education, communication, and learning processes across local communities.
