Thinking about expanding coverage and generating new opportunities in terms of education for the municipality of Chigorodó, located in the Urabá subregion of the department of Antioquia, the María Cano University Foundation has just signed the framework agreement for institutional cooperation at its main headquarters in the city from Medellin. The commitment between this outstanding locality and the Institution will allow the exchange of multiple benefits for young people and, in general, for the community in technical training, undergraduate, postgraduate, bilingualism, health, academic extension programs, assistance and services, in addition to events, training, cultural activities, formulation and development of research, extension and assistance programs and projects carried out by both parties.

The legalization of this relationship occurred through the work led by the rector Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras with the mayor Tulia Irene Ruiz García, who, together with her work team, legalized this alliance that consolidates cultural, academic and inter-institutional relations through of the different academic programs and subsystems of the Institution.

The signed framework agreement allows the realization of specific agreements, which from different approaches will contribute to the academic training of the population of that important subregion of the department. From the date on, each of the parties will designate a coordinator to the other in order to guide and lead the activities derived from the application of the agreement, so that the commitments assumed with academic training are responded to with quality. of those who benefit from this initiative.
