New specialization programs at María Cano

Successfully, on January 27 and 28, two new postgraduate programs were launched at the María Cano University Foundation that join the long history of excellence in higher education, thus expanding the educational offer to continue serving community. The programs that started new cohorts were: the specialization in Sports Physiotherapy, which is designed to train professionals capable of understanding and treating sports injuries, as well as improving physical performance and preventing future injuries; and the specialization in Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy, which focuses on the rehabilitation and prevention of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, an area of increasing importance in health care.
These academic programs have the participation of recognized expert teachers in the field, such as:
- Cristian Yáñez: physiotherapist, specialist in physical exercise for health and master’s degree in physiology, accompanies the physiology module applied to sports.
- Domingo Caraballo: doctor, specialist in health promotion and prevention of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases, fellowship excercise testig and cardiac rehabilitation Harvard Medical School, accompanies the cardiopulmonary pathophysiology module.
The work of these professionals, of high quality and academic relevance, guarantees the quality of the postgraduate offering of the María Cano University Foundation, which constantly demonstrates the commitment to the training of highly qualified professionals who can contribute significantly to their fields of work.
