Expanding job opportunities for graduates
- 24 febrero, 2025

As part of the ongoing efforts to expand the employment prospects for graduates, the Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Neiva campus, carried out an intersectoral collaboration with the SENA Regional Office in Huila. They developed a training plan for graduates and introduced the strategy of offering job opportunities abroad through the SENA Transnational Public Employment Agency. This agency is an authorized operator under Resolution 343 of 2016 by the Ministry of Labor, responsible for facilitating labor mediation processes with foreign companies seeking talent from Colombia.
Through this agency, the rights, duties, and guarantees of Colombian migrants in the destination country are promoted to prevent illegal migration and labor exploitation abroad.
All foreign companies interested in hiring Colombian staff must go through a legal verification process carried out by the SENA Public Employment Agency, with the support of the relevant national and international governmental bodies. This process determines the feasibility of posting job offers through SENA.
Job seekers interested in participating in international job openings must be of legal age, have a valid passport, and meet the requirements specified by the respective companies. This initiative is aimed not only at our graduates in the Southern Colombian region, but also opens up global opportunities to secure new job prospects for our graduates. #MoreMaríaCano.
