The Physiotherapy Program bases its work on the law 528 of 1999, which in its academic conception has as an essential object of study the understanding and management of human body movement through the different stages of life.
Based on the national and international referents of the profession and in accordance with the Institutional policies, the purpose of the program is to train suitable and integral professionals by guaranteeing their development in the social, psychological and biological environments, in the different areas and fields of professional performance, in such a way that they respond to the training requirements at a regional, national and international level.

Physiotherapy graduates from The María Cano University Foundation will be able to perform in the clinical-care, labor, physical activity, sports, project manager and developer, academic management and entrepreneurship scenarios.

A graduated from The María Cano University Foundation is also characterized by having the performance competencies in addressing issues related to human body movement from the individual to the community in the different stages on the life process, in all participation and professional interaction scenarios, fulfilling specific roles in favor of the quality of life of people through the diagnostic evaluation, health promotion, disease prevention, therapeutic intervention, rehabilitation, rehabilitation, habilitation, research and management.
