He has more than 32 years of professional experience, 20 of them dedicated to Higher Education; since May 2016 he is the Rector of the María Cano University. He has also served as Director of the Montería branch, National Director of Planning, National Director of Self-Evaluation, National Director of Research and Development of Postgraduate Programs at the Cooperativa de Colombia University; Head of the Office of Internal Control, Head of the Planning Office, Administrative and Financial Director, Director of University Welfare, Dean of the Academic Extension Center and Head of the Commercial Department at the Metropolitan Technological Institute – ITM; Teaching statistician of the Research Center of the Faculty of Nursing of the University of Antioquia.
He is an Academic Peer of the Ministry of National Education since 2005 and a professor of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different Higher Education Institutions since 1996. Amilbia Palacios Córdoba – Academic Vice-Rector

Social Communicator – Journalist from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Specialist in Senior Management from the María Cano University Foundation.
He has 29 years of work experience in organizational communication at the Museum of Modern Art of Medellín, the National Highway Institute, Regional Antioquia, the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia and the María Cano University Foundation. He has also been a university professor and dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the UCC Campus Medellín. In television journalism and news presentation, he has worked since 1995 on the Teleantioquia and Telemedellín channels; as well as on the CM& news program on national television Channel One.

Elkin Antonio Restrepo Escobar – Administrative and Financial Vice-Rector
Public accountant from the University of Medellín, Specialist in Financial Management from the Gran Colombiano Polytechnic, Master in Education-university teaching from the UNAP University of Chile.
With more than 15 years of involvement in higher education, he has worked as an undergraduate and graduate teacher in face-to-face and virtual modality, program director, director of the accounting and financial network, deputy academic director and social projection. He has experience as a public accountant for 25 years, auditor and tax auditor, in project analysis and in financial and tax matters in recognized companies in the city. He has served as Financial and Accounting Director at the María Cano University Foundation.
